About the NSES Drama Club Program
The North Stonington Elementary School Drama Club is an after school program open to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. We perform Broadway style shows each year in the spring. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for students to increase their self-confidence through creative expression, self-discipline and teamwork while encouraging a lifelong appreciation of the arts and recognition of the educational power of the theatre. These attributes help contribute to success in the classroom both academically and often behaviorally as children discover talents and skills which can help boost classroom participation.

I can’t even put into words what these past 5 1/2 months, especially these last three days, have meant to me. I wish everyone can see what I see when working with this cast. To watch them transform from auditions, to casting, to the start of working on lines, scenes, music, then choreography, all while juggling other activities and school, and at their young ages – my goodness – they are just incredible! Five shows performed, 3 in one day! My heart is so full of pride, happiness and yes, the post production blues are already setting in. Congratulations to the NSES cast of Frozen, Jr! Thank you for all your hard work. It paid off wonderfully! Now, let’s go celebrate your wonderful and amazing success this Wednesday at our Cast Party.
